“Yes, And” to Team Building
Organizational culture matters. In order to grow your business and improve your overall workplace environment, molding and shaping team members, their leadership, and communication style are essential. During our time together, we’ll tap into understanding different personality types and workstyles. As a communication analyst, I evaluate speaker styles and contexts, personality types and relationships, thus, acknowledging who we are affects how we work, lead, and communicate.
For teams seeking an engaging team-building workshop, focusing on communication and/or psychology topics, I customize the message and activities to meet the needs of your team.
WORK BETTER TOGETHER

COMMUNICATE. CONNECT. COLLABORATE.
Taking the time to think of yourself and work on you is important. Each session is individualized and focused on the client’s communication growth and goals. During our time together, we’ll focus on self-awareness, team dynamic, emotional intelligence, temperament, and speaker style.
To set your yourself apart from others, ask yourself:
How does my team collaborate with tasks at work?
How do I communicate to others in my team?
How do I be more fully present and “yes-and” my team?
To see success, the client needs internal motivation and personal growth mindset.
Other communication workshop topics for professional audiences can be tailored to meet the needs of your organization: persuasive communication, interpersonal communication, feedback, conflict.
Theatre and creative drama workshops can be customized for youth and older audiences for a fun community event.
Setting the scene
Sometimes it takes leaving the office to fully focus, recharge, and create. Just a 40-minute drive from downtown Omaha, Maple Edge Farm, an over 150-year old family farm, is nestled among native oak and maple trees in the West Nishnabotna River Valley in southwest Iowa. This natural, green space can provide a respite from the distractions and sounds of the city. Together, we can walk the trails while creating content, brainstorm, or problem-solve, or sit a spell in the red, velvet room in my 1880s Victorian house. This creative space lends itself to sharing stories, growing and connecting teams, and evolving one’s speaker style.
EACH SESSION FOCUSES ON THE FOLLOWING:
Rapport building between you and coach
Space for collaboration and open communication
Questions to engage in self and team discovery
Action plan to improve your collaboration skills
Public speaking fear has a 10% affect on wage earnings and 15% impairment on your promotion
CREATIVE COMMUNICATION WORKSHOPS
IMPROVE THROUGH IMPROVISATION
Each day we are engaged in conversation with colleagues, administrators, clients, and our supervisors. By using the rules of improvisation, theatre and communication methods and exercises, I teach teams to be more clear, powerful, and overall influential with their communication and connection with people. Whether in the healthcare field, sales, finance, profit or nonprofit industries, business improvisation will increase confidence and improve speech patterns while embracing the speaker’s own unique speaker style.

KNOW THYSELF: WHO YOU ARE AFFECTS HOW YOU WORK, COMMUNICATE AND LEAD
Our personalities are made of both temperament and character. Temperament refers to our innate traits, which affects our behavior. We are born to be and do certain skills with ease, and our character is nurtured by the environments in which we live and the people in our lives. Who we are affects how we work, communicate, and lead. Whether you’re a healthcare professional, educator, in sales, or any other profession, understanding your authentic speaker style helps you communicate effectively with others. During this workshop, participants will engage in active discussion, thoughtful activities, and take home communication strategies to discover how to be more intentional and communicate more effectively in both professional and interpersonal relationships.
Target Audience:
Nonprofit organizations or for-profit organizations who want a better understanding of self and others to enhance how they do business internally and externally.

2–4 hours

THE POWER OF AN EFFECTIVE PRESENTATION
Even Jerry Seinfeld has said, “People would rather be in the coffin than be giving the eulogy at a funeral.” The fear of public speaking is real. Being a natural-born effective public speaker is a myth. It takes practice. Lots of practice. In the first session, you’ll learn communication strategies for sound message-making and effective delivery-style. In the second session, you’ll apply what you learn with one of your presentations and give and receive feedback.
Target Audience:
Leaders looking to improve their communication and public speaking skills in front of small and larger audiences.
Duration:
4–7 hours
Location Options:
- Maple Edge Farm
- Virtual

Nonprofit organizations or for-profit organizations who want to become more self-aware and have strategies to best communicate when under stress.

2–4 hours
Location Options:
